001

Hello! As my first post in my virgin blog I suppose I should introduce myself and what this blog will be used for. As the title suggests, my name is Caitlyn Glass and this will be a production blog of sorts. This is where I will post about my progress on my radio plays (and perhaps mash up albums in the future). My planned productions are mostly fan-works so far – adapting video games (most of them under loved)  in radio plays for people to enjoy and hopefully draw more people into the fandom while doing so.

When I say adaptation I really do mean it. I really dislike those audio productions that just put voices to a game script and then call it a radio play. A radio play needs more dialogue, more re-working than just the game script. Just putting voices to the script makes ones “radio play” a dub with no visual content. Which in most cases doesn’t keep your audience’s attention.  My goal is to adapt by extrapolating the main script of the game to fit it to a radio play format while staying true to the original. It’s a lofty goal but I intend to fulfill it – and hopefully up keeping this blog will keep me motivated.

That said, I have nothing ready at the moment – I’m halfway through a script writing play through for my first project “A Witch’s Tale”. However if you see yourself wanting to do voice acting keep an eye out for when I post links to my audition threads. I’m also always looking for help and tips on mixing and producing since I’m still a beginner myself (one that’s probably biting off a little more than they can chew).

With that aside, if for some reason you are reading this blog, thank you for stopping by and welcome!

Cheers,

Caitlyn Glass ♫
